Mirabel: At first I didn't know it was your diary. I thought it was a very sad handwritten book.

Mirabel: Hey, can you do me a favor?

Bruno: Sorry, I have to go do literally anything other than this.

Mirabel: You don’t even have a legitimate reason?

Bruno: You want me to have a vision, I hate having visions.

Mirabel: You don't know that! I could be asking you for anything.

Mirabel, chipper as ever and ready to start her day: Good morning!

Bruno, disheveled and holding a cup of coffee: Is it? Is it really?

Bruno: I have never acted natural in my life, I am not starting now.

Bruno: My ‘normal’ days consist of a lot of panic.

Villager: Hi, how's it going?

Bruno, a little nervous: Uh, same as usual, really. Hehe.

Mirabel, smiling too wide and laughing loudly: Perfectly fine, no problems whatsoever, nothing to see here, MOVE ALONG!

Villager: ...

Bruno: ...Am I the normal one in this situation?

Villager: Yes, you are.

Bruno: ...

Bruno: Well, that's horrifying.

Villager, eyeing Mirabel warily: Yes, it is.

Mirabel: We’re all in this together. If one of us falls, we all fall. Nobody is expendable in this family.

Bruno: Sounds fake but ok.

Bruno: I'm actually starting to understand the universe's sense of humor and that terrifies me.

Bruno: People keep hugging me and insisting I should rest, no-one's demanding I do visions, all the kids love playing with me, my telenovelas are actually becoming pretty popular...

Mirabel: What? How is that horrible?

Bruno: I'm constantly walking on eggshells, terrified of being seen as a curse again and losing all the love and affection I've been afforded since I returned.

Mirabel: ...so life is treating you really well but you have anxiety.

Bruno: Yep. Yeah, pretty much. Yeah.

Bruno: Name a more iconic duo than my crippling fear of abandonment and my anxiety. I’ll wait.

Mirabel: You and me! We're a team!

Bruno, tearing up: Ok.

Mirabel: Do you need help getting out of here?

Bruno: Nah, I'm cool here in the walls.

Bruno: It's kitchen adjacent, I've got my rats...

Mirabel: ...yeah, you need help getting out of here.

Chapter 15: Not That Nice A Person

Mirabel: I don't think you make bad things happen, Tio. I think you've been unfairly judged when all you want to do is protect and warn people. I know you love this family, and I love you too.

Bruno, waving it off: Please, you're only saying this to be nice, because you are a nice person. I appreciate it, Mirabel, but–

Mirabel: I'd make fun of your height but there isn't enough to make fun of.

Bruno, upset: W-what..?

Mirabel: I'm really not that nice of a person.

Mirabel: It... looks just like the one I lost a while ago...

Mirabel: Oh my God, why can't anyone just talk to each other?!

Mirabel: Adults are the most insanely stupid people I have the displeasure of interacting with.

Bruno, tearing up: Even me?

Bruno, squinting at her: Are... Are you a giant bee?

Bruno, eyes faintly glowing: Oh, no, sorry. My mistake. You're a butterfly.

Bruno: I just got confused 'cause you're all yellow.

Mirabel: [looks down at mostly blue-and-white dress]

Mirabel, looking back up: What???

Chapter 21: Slightly Less Lonely

Bruno: I don't know, it's not my cup of tea.

Mirabel: Well then whose is it?

Bruno, staring at a cup of tea: I don't know! No-one but you and I come back here!

Bruno: And Dolores.

Bruno: And sometimes 'Milo.

Bruno: And the rats.

Bruno: And Antonio now, I guess.

Mirabel: ...so it could be anyone's.

Bruno: Yeah.
