Chapter 1: Sunnie Coyote And Rayne Runner

My very own Coyote & Roadrunner duo :)

Update: Rayne's siblings at the end!

This is Sunnie Coyote.

And this is Rayne Runner.

The twist is that Sunnie is a super peppy character and Rayne is a super grumpy one that she's decided is her best friend — instead of outrunning traps, Rayne is trying to outrun hugs and hangouts at their (unfortunately mutual) favorite smoothie place.

I figure that Sunnie is still smart, but in a ditzy genius way — she technically can do high level equations in her head in seconds without trying, but it always takes a while for anyone to figure this out because she's much more obsessed with things like smoothies and watching meteor showers and hanging out with her BBFF (Best Bird Friend Forever) than with little things like science. She's is also completely able to build the same crazy contraptions as Wiley, Calamity, and Tech, but always with the goal of ✨friendship✨ in mind.

I as well figure that Rayne still (almost) always escapes, whether it be dodging a hug or outrunning Sunnie's mobile movie night... But Sunnie never gives up and Rayne is slowly (but surely!) being worn down. Besides, she'd have to give up her favorite smoothie place to avoid her coyote counterpart entirely, and that ain't happening. And, of course, she's still the fastest thing on two legs — she's just very irritable about it and would prefer to take life a lot slower than constantly outmaneuvering her BC-RP (Biggest Coyote-Related Problem) requires. XD

Sunnie talks almost non-stop, occasionally using a Sign. Rayne can technically talk, but prefers Signs, which she mainly uses for dry/sarcastic/bitchy comments. Sunnie calls Rayne 'Raindrop', which Rayne acts irritable about and never corrects.

The smoothie place is run by a friendly, mild old quail guy. His name is Phineas R. Featherfoot, and the smoothie place is Featherfoot's Fifty Flavors Of Fantastic Smoothies, which is usually just called Featherfoot's or Featherfoot's Smoothies.

Soo....

I decided that Rayne is Roadie's daughter. And since he canonly has triplets, here's triplets!

Ruby is fancy, calm, and easily amused.

Rubble likes hitting into rock faces at high speeds.

Being Roadrunners, they only communicate with Toon Signs. When apart, the trio Sign normally, but when together, everything they Sign rhymes in some way. This is a reference to that weird comic thing where Roadie spoke in rhyme.

Chapter 2: The Group Shots

This is admittedly the chapter with the least amount of creative input from me, but it does a really good job of showing how a Coyote species might look.

The best group shot (which kinda reminds me of Sonic).

This one reminds me of Indiana Jones.

This one is some kind of modern university/college AU thing, and I love it.

This one is like a mystic DND-style adventuring party, and it is AMAZING.

This one gives me such Zootopia vibes, honestly.

This one's a little boring, but there are a few cool outliers.

This one is one of the most varied ones, I think. It's pretty neat.

Chapter 3: The Twins + Family

Two different sets of designs for the same pair of twins, plus some of their family.

A younger design, which I actually like better, but it doesn't have as much difference between their personalities and both look a bit too much like fennec foxes.

This one is, admittedly, far better. Less fox-like, more personality, just better overall. I still like the first ones more, though, lol.

Their grandparents, who I feel would be the leaders of some desert tribe of Coyotes.

I have the vague idea that this would probably be some sort of sister or cousin to them? Maybe? She looks a bit like Sunnie, but with a workout theme...

Chapter 4: The Three Sisters (+A Warrior)

Three Coyotes who look like some kind of mystical desert princess sisters, plus the warrior/bodyguard that the red princess is dating.

This one is some sort of scholar with magical abilities she only partly understands, and a skill with alchemy/herbs/maybe healing.

This one my sister says looks like a boy, but I don't think so. Either way, definitely very sassy, dramatic, and performative. Loves theatre and acting.

The red sister. She's a fashionista, a beauty queen, and a flirt.

The warrior/bodyguard that the red sister is dating. He was a gladiator in another kingdom, once upon a time, before becoming part of this kingdom's royal guard and falling in love with the princess. He can get overly confident about his fighting prowess sometimes, but there's a good reason for that as he does win almost every fight he's in.

Chapter 5: The Warrior Tribe

A series of Coyotes who all vaguely look as of they're part of the same group.

Warning: a few of them have faint nipples. There was no way for me to fix that without the AI flagging my request as inappropriate (which is ironic considering it added nipples). They really are barely there, though.

This one's my favorite of this batch — she looks like such an interesting, serious warrior character, you know?

I don't have much to say for this one, except that he matches the first one well.

I feel like he's one of those guys that seems joyless and bitter at first, and then you realize he's an eccentric full of wonder. Either that or he's the old guy that's pulled into the adventure against his will and wants to go home the entire time, but by the end has rediscovered his zest for life. Idk, this one just speaks to me, okay?

The tribe's cook. He'd be really annoying but ultimately helpful.

A wolf that was taken in by the tribe.

Chapter 6: NOT The Warrior Tribe

Designs that almost made it into the warrior tribe chapter, but didn't work for one reason or another.

She's just a little too comedic to fit with the warrior tribe.

Definitely the above's daughter. As well, ChatGPT really needs to get better guidelines on what design elements are appropriate to add when it wasn't instructed to...

I don't really know with this guy, to be honest. He looks very bored and unimpressed with everyone else's nonsense, though.

If he had made it in, he would've been the wolf guy's younger brother.

Chapter 7: Modern/Zootopia Feels

Basically all the ones with full outfits, outside that one group shot.

The young daughter of an archeologist or something. Take a moment to look at the claws on the shoes, because that is the detail I love most and one of the things I love about making images with AI — sometimes it randomly decides to make really cool things.

A plumber or handyman who looks more like a really big fox than a coyote, lol.

One of my absolute favorites, and I actually have another version of him that I'm planning to put in a later chapter, so keep an eye out! ;)

This is one of the coolest characters that I have EVER made with AI. Ignoring the way his trousers are a part of his legs, he's amazing. Definitely a nervous but adventuring scientist/researcher type. Maybe related to the blonde one at the beginning of this chapter.

Chapter 8: Miscellaneous

I don't really know where else to put them, lol.

Why do I feel like this is Wiley's polar-opposite, magic-obsessed, shyster of a cousin? XD

I think I'm going to call him Trick E. Coyote, and maybe Trix for short.

He wants a fight and he is going to find one, and he's probably going to save a small village or two in the process.

Basically Sally Acorn from Sonic but as a Coyote (actually Fox).

He feels like the kind of scoundrel the audience roots for, and I love him. One of my favorites in this entire fic. I've decided that hos name is Rowd E. Coyote.

Paint guy redesign! He fits in better with the other Toons, now. I've decided to call him Arthur C. Coyote, otherwise known as Artsy/Art C. Coyote.

Calamity but older and more desert-survival-inventor than Junior-High-prodigy.

A way better Tech redesign than my actual one, honestly. I love it, even though it's not perfect (his tail needs to be completely green, for one, but whatever).
