Edward Nygma

Jonathan wakes up to a new world, new memories, and old friends. What do you do when everything you've ever known is turned on its head? Jonathan's answer is 'find someone else dealing with the same damn thing and complain to them about it. Loudly.'

AKA: I hate Absolute Batman. So I thought to myself 'what if the characters suddenly had the memories of their more-or-less main counterparts (albeit a bit softened), and hated the Absolute universe as well?'

The joke goes like this: a not-Robin with a new name and a new face grabs a gun and knocks on Joker's door.

But this time, he doesn't call on Batman to prove himself to him. This time, there's no one around to stop him. This time...

...he pulls the trigger.

Edward Nygma was born on April Fool's. This was the universe's version of a joke. A joke on Batman, perhaps, giving him a man like himself but twisted all around. Or a joke on Edward, maybe, to remind him of what he really is — a creature of irony and hidden things.

Or: Jonathan watches Edward fence on April Fool's and doesn't quite come to a revelation about him.

Ten of Arkham's inmates are forced to become teachers as part of an experimental new therapy program. They live and work at a highschool, with proximity collars that won't let them leave the premises.

This is their group chat.

A place to describe my ideas for a Batman reboot, with the hopes of eventually turning them into a long-form fic.

Things that were too small or out of context or whatever to be their own fics, so they go here. Random moments with Batman characters.

In which Riddler is a force of nature, Scarecrow is more attached to his non-crow friends than he realizes, and Twoface arguably gains a terrifying new weapon: Riddler himself.

As of today (4th of March, 2026), it has officially been two years since I first began posting on this site. To celebrate my second ficiversary, I'm posting a fic with Twoface in it! Enjoy! 🥳

My ideas for what teams different Batman characters would have and why. Vaguely set in an AU where Pokémon suddenly show up without explanation and people are still getting used to them.

Edward is very good at taking care of himself, in his rarely-humble opinion.

This is not a good thing.

Edward sees Joker's nest for the first time and has some thoughts about the state of it.

Joker comes to Jonathan with an unusual request. But is all really what it seems?

First chapter: A poem about Batman and his Rogues. Dark is not always evil, while light is not always good.

When Jason comes back from the dead, Tim sees a way to quit being Robin without too many consequences. Now if only he could find him...

Once again, Edward's birthday has rolled around. This year, he just wants a quiet, calm day. He's not even going to break out of Arkham this year!

While Jonathan ponders his new cellmate, Joker performs a nightly ritual.

Small moments in which Gothamites are Gothamites and the Rogues have to deal with it.

In the middle of a plot, Batman stops to take a photo. This has Consequences.

Stephanie's first Halloween after being adopted is a bit more chaotic than she might expect. Includes Fear Toxin, bad song rewrites, and maybe the beginning of a little romance.

Was going to post on Halloween, but accidentally deleted it and barely managed to restore it, so panic-posting now. Will add Fanart on Halloween, as a compromise.

Tim's a stalker. He's not proud of it, but- no, okay, he's proud of it. It was how he became Robin, how he pulled Batman out of his depression, of course he's proud of it! Stalking his crush? Yeah, he's a tad less proud of that...

The Iceberg Lounge is many things. To some, it's a silly theme club. To others, it's the center of a vast criminal organization. To Gotham's wealthy, it's a lovely place to bring a date or catch a show.

To Gotham's freaks, it's a haven.

(Points if you know which song I'm pulling the fic name and chapter titles from).

In which Stephanie has a crisis, Jonathan is over everyone else's shit, Jervis hates Alice In Wonderland remakes, and Edward isn't allowed to watch Jeopardy anymore.

A fluffy night in for the Dork Squad (plus Stephanie). Based on some moments in my own family.

There's a riddle that most kindergartners can solve but most Harvard students can't. I couldn't solve it, and the answer blew my mind.

That got me thinking... How would Edward react the world's hardest riddle?

Sometimes, Riddler takes hostages. It's a bad thing, but he IS a supervillain. He challenges them to puzzles and games, knowing they won't solve them, reveling in his victory.

So what happens when he meets a hostage so annoying, Riddler would actually rather lose?

Told through Incorrect Quotes!

Riddler: I hate you
Joker: Love ya too!

Incorrect Quotes with one of my favorite chaotic duos

The Rogues have a group chat. An incorrect quotes-chat.

The Rogues try to hold an election. Maybe I'll write about that someday, this just deals with the aftermath.

Crack fic!

A place for my personal interpretations of the characters, along with some artwork from ChatGPT (with minor editing by me).

Not very exciting right now, but will be updated in the future. (EDIT: Will not be updated in the future, as I plan to entirely redo my character profiles, but won't be taken down either)

Feel free to use any idea in here, even if I'm the one that came up with it (a lot of this is from different canons and such, while some ideas are from popular fanon -- like the Dork Squad being friends and Edward being called Dormouse, for instance)

Jonathan Crane already has a friend (alright, maybe he has two), he doesn't need another. Jervis Tetch disagrees.

AKA, I read The Long Halloween and then wrote a pre-relationship Hattercrow fic based on that one scene where they're robbing a bank using a horse-drawn carriage.

As far as Edward is concerned, parent-teacher conferences should be one of the circles of Hell. But for his daughter, he's willing to go through even that.

In a world where Joker isn't a murderous, abusive scumbag, he wouldn't be the kind of guy to manipulate a young psychiatrist into losing her mind.

So how did Doctor Harleen Quinzel become the infamous Harley Quinn?

Harvey decides to flirt with Edward, despite Harv's protests. When Edward is having trouble with his adopted daughter's decision to go to highschool, Twoface comforts him in their own ways.

Someone has sent Edward a riddle, asking for a meeting.
What choice does he have but to accept?

Riddler says the wrong thing while planning a heist with Joker.

Batman heads to Arkham to fight a breakout, except no one's actually trying to escape -- all the inmates are just reading?

It's Riddler's birthday, but everything that can go wrong does.
