Gosalyn & Honker: [slowly turn to look at Bushroot]
Bushroot, waving awkwardly: Hi.
Honker, nodding politely: Hello, Doctor Bushroot.
Gosalyn, much less politely: What do you want, fertilizer breath?
Bushroot: Well... oh, I'm terribly sorry, but I'm going to have to kidnap you. Negaduck's orders, you know how it is.
Honker: It's quite alright, we understand. But Goz is most likely going to insist on fighting back.
Gosalyn: Why yes, I will in fact insist on that.
Bushroot: Perfectly understandable, yes.
Gosalyn: [pulls out a bow and arrow while grinning]
Bushroot: ...
Bushroot: How about we just say I tried valiantly yet failed, and I leave without you hurting me? Please?
Gosalyn: Fat chance–
Honker: Goz...
Gosalyn: Oh, fine, alright. But if anyone asks, I tore you apart so badly it looked like you went through a wood chipper.
Bushroot: I doubt anyone would believe anything less. Good luck on your homework.
Gosalyn: Yeah, yeah, whatever.
Gosalyn, to Honker: I hope you're proud of yourself. I could be engaged in an epic battle right now, and instead I'm finishing my homework.
Honker: I am, actually, yes. Someone has to make sure you have a chance at graduating, after all.
Gosalyn: Relax, Honk! I have like six geniuses I can go to if I need someone to do my homework– I mean, tutor me.
Bushroot, who hasn't fully left yet: I'm sorry — are you including me and the others in that???
Gosalyn, rolling her eyes: Please, like any one of you wouldn't jump at the chance to have someone listen to your ramblings for once.
Bushroot: Hey!
Honker: She isn't wrong, Doctor.
Bushroot: Well, yeah, but still...

He really is, though, isn't he? His tragic almost antivillain vibe missed with his 'snap and attack everyone' moments just make him very interesting, I think. And there's something just weird about his voice...

They should add that joke when Negaduck ever teams up with Darkwing.
I would love to see a canon team up. Negaduck has had moments of being actually afraid in canon, and has shown a willingness to work together with his enemies if he *really* needed to. He even played nice with Darkwing to manipulate Morgana! I think the right villain in the right circumstances could make those two work together. It would be SO INTERESTING
How is it that I can see this happening in an Darkwing episode?
I pride myself on my ability to keep characters fairly in-character (except for all the changes I make to them), so I'm really glad you think so!

I just feel like he's totally the type of guy to give a teenaged/young superhero pointers, you know? He's definitely got a dad vibe, I think. (Even that time he tried to kidnap Gosalyn while half-insane from just mutating feeds into the theory that he'd want to be a mentor).
