"Nosey," Editor looked up from the papers he'd been reviewing, rubbing the bridge of his long nose, "we can't smurf this article."
"What? Why not?" Nosey asked, gesturing to the papers. "It's the juiciest story in the village!"
"It's also not true." Editor glared at her.
"It is so!" Nosey insisted. "Cam got photos of the whole thing. Didn't you, Camera?"
Camera grunted, nodding once.
"See?" Nosey pulled some photos from between the papers, waving them in front of Editor's face too fast for him to see them properly. "Come on, Eddie, this is the scoop of the century! You gotta let me publish!"
"If I've smurfed you once, I've smurfed you a thousand times, Nosey," Editor sighed, "get me something better than rumors and blurry photographs, then we'll talk. Until then..." He gestured to the door.
Nosey humphed, stomping off with a scowl. Camera nodded goodbye to Editor, before calmly following her out of the Newspaper Mushroom.
Once they were out of earshot, Nosey hissed, "How dare he! Your photographs are not blurry; they're some of the best staging we've done yet!"
Though his face was as impassive as ever, Camera nodded a tad more enthusiastically than usual and grunted in agreement.

"On second thought, Clumsy and you wouldn't smurf well together, you're too different." As if summoned, Clumsy tripped towards their table. Glasses glared at him. "Clumsy, don't flirt with Hefty, he's not your type and is into girls — you'd smurf your heart broken."

That was so heartwarming! The safe harbour that vanity provides for grouchy is so smurfing lovely. Also I in madly in love with this way you gave vanity to interact by making another Smurf he can look into the eyes. This needs to be canon.
