Chapter 2: Riddler
Let's move on to the BEST Rogue, shall we?
Note: I wanted to give him Alakazam, but my little sister protested the decision based on the argument that he wouldn't want a Pokémon that much smarter than him. I as well wanted to give him Blipbug, but decided it fit Bookwyrm's aesthetic better. I as well thought of Ditto and Malamar, but each fit different Rogues better. If I'm being quite honest, his team was a nightmare to make... XD
1) Unown (? Form) — I'll admit that I didn't come up with this one, I've seen it in a few fics and pieces of art. Upon learning that a Pokémon exists that looks like a question mark, Edward would stop at nothing to make it his own. Tell me I'm wrong, I dare you.
2) Shiny Meowscarada — His Starter, which he would choose because green. My reasoning is that it uses optical illusions and trickery to outwit others, and it visually looks like Riddler's dramatic self, so it's perfect. Oh, and it's shiny because that makes it mostly green with black and some purple just like him.
3) Reuniclus — Did I pick most of these based on the color green? Yes, yes I did. But it's a Pokémon MADE OF BRAINS, it fits him so well!
4) Shiny Espeon — He's had cats in some comics, I'm fairly certain. Shiny Espeon is stylish, intelligent, and green. And I really like giving characters Eeveelutions.
5) Kecleon — In my defense, not many Pokémon are based around mazes, puzzles, or riddles. This thing is sneaky and green, and I think it's adorable, so now he has it.
6) Drizzile — One day Edward stumbles across a field of complex boobytraps and such. Curious, he wanders carefully through it, wanting to meet whoever made it. He discovers a Drizzile in its den. He compliments its traps. They become best friends for life. Seriously, the one booby-trapped based Mon I could really find AND it has some green and purple in its design, it's literally PERFECT.
+Ride) Oranguru — So smart it commands other Pokémon. Highly respected for its intelligence. Green and purple are present in its design. Venus brought up the idea of him sitting crosslegged on its back during plots, and now I'm hooked. The second-in-command in his army of darkness riddles.
+Rotom — A green Rotom Phone covered in question marks. It likes hacking, coming up with increasingly bizarre and difficult sign-in requirements, and randomly renaming files. Edward adores it.
